Break-out Slumdog Millionaire star Freida Pinto says boyfriend Dev Patel’s eyes lit up when they met. The actors, who met on the set of Danny Boyle’s Oscar-winning film, were instantly drawn to each other during casting.

Freida revealed all to OK! saying: “He was 17 when I first met him. I walked into a room and this jet-lagged boy was sitting on a couch waiting for the girls to come in one by one. He just had this little boy-ish thing about him… his eyes just lit up.”

The couple, who are rarely pictured together, have struggled to keep their rumoured relationship under wraps after their co-star confirmed the rumours earlier this year.

Dev Patel’s mother also confirmed the news after the couple were finally photographed kissing last month.
